Room Air Conditioner Testing Facility

Balanced Ambient Room-Type Calorimeter (RAC2)

Re-conditioners are set up in both the indoor-side compartment and outdoor-side compartment and the capacity of the re-conditioners is controlled so as to cancel the cooling or heating capacity of the room air conditioner that is being tested. This permits the humidity of both the indoor-side and outdoor-side compartments to be kept stable in accordance with JIS conditions. Also, the humidity of the indoor-side and outdoor-side controlled-temperature air space is controlled to the same level as each of the compartments. In addition, the conduction heat flux is already known, and the cooling and heating capacity of the room air conditioner may be measured with high precision by finding the cooling and heating capacity of the re-conditioners during stable operation

Air Enthalpy Measuring Instrument (RAC3)

The humidity and temperature of both the indoor-side and outdoor-side test rooms respectively is controlled to JIS conditions and the room air conditioner, the equipment under test, is set up and operated. The test room is fully equipped with highly-precise temperature and humidity measuring instruments as well as an airflow measuring instrument. Measuring the humidity of the air that the air conditioner is taking in and blowing out to find enthalpy allows for highly precise measurement of the air conditioner’s cooling and heating capacity.

Packaged Air Conditioner Testing Facility

Air Enthalpy Measuring Instrument (PAC2)

The humidity of both the indoor-side and outdoor-side test rooms respectively is controlled to JIS conditions and the room air conditioner, the equipment under test, is set up and operated. The apparatus is fully equipped with temperature and humidity measuring instruments and an airflow measuring instrument that are capable of taking highly precise measurements. Measuring the humidity of the air that the packaged air conditioner is taking in and blowing out to find enthalpy allows for highly precise measurement of the packaged air conditioner’s cooling and heating capacity. In addition, the outdoor-side test room is equipped with fresh air induction and engine exhaust gas discharge systems, which allows for testing of packaged air conditioners as well as gas heat-pump air conditioners.

Residential Heat-Pump Water Heater Testing Facility

Residential Heat-Pump Water Heater Testing Facility (DWH)

Temperature and humidity inside the test room are controlled in accordance with JIS conditions, and the test piece heat-pump unit and warm water tank area are set up and operated. The apparatus is fully equipped with temperature and humidity equipment as well as a flow rate gauge that are capable of taking highly precise measurements. Tests may be conducted to verify heating performance and the hot water supply (heat retaining) mode.
